This is a music blog that is still in the works. Alternative Punk Etc. is what I believe to be the new and improved version of what was once known as Defend Good Music. With so many bands forming left and right its hard to know where to look for outstanding new music. I've picked some fairly unknown bands that are the best of best in alternative, punk, pop-punk, indie, hardcore, and similar genres to share with you. I post a new band every once in a while, along with a bunch of free legal downloads from both big and small name artists.

Yes, I do take suggestions. Even if it's your band, but I'll only post about them on here if I'm really impressed. I'm open to listening either way!
